So Salvation Station is packed full of mystery and suspense. Throughout the book we follow multiple storylines and have to guess how they tie together and what the outcome of that will be. We watch as things start to reveal themselves as anything other than what they seem. Two worlds slowly collide as one changing the characters worlds for good. We see a world of deceptions, blind faith and betrayal.
I really enjoyed reading Salvation Station. We all know I’m a lover of crime thrillers and this was a pretty good one. I liked the multiple storylines. I think that really added to the complexity of the story and also the suspense. We had to take in multiple plot lines to try and predict what would happen. I also liked the opportunity to see the different perspectives of the characters as well. I feel like writing the book this way help to bring more characters out to the spotlight so we got a chance to know them and understand them, which I loved.
The characters themselves were great. I feel like they were well put together, you could tell the author has sat down and thought about them like actual people with a past and a personality. Without giving anything away the killers personality was something quite intriguing and the final chapter in the book will really creepy you out a little. But I really feel like Kathryn has put her everything into her characters, their past and researching their lives. Everything seem plausible, realistic and honest which really helps in making the story that bit creepier because it feels like it could or has actually happened.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book and I am so glad that I took it on as a review request. I definitely would recommend this book to crime, mystery and thriller fans. I feel like it’s an easy book to get on with. It’s well written and well thought out. I also love that in the chapter headings Kathryn has them as the date and place of where the scene is happening. Everything just comes together to create such a great experience for the reader.
